About Us
Our Garden
Fyreburst Spitz are loved, owned and exhibited by Craig and Diane
Armstrong and children Sara, Joshua, Brandon, Cody, Niki, Mitchell, Jack
and Anthony, of Maryborough, Queensland (AU).

In 1989, while searching for the perfect dog for my (then much smaller)
eldest daughter, I fell in love with this remarkable breed. I was looking for a
medium sized dog that didn't need to be walked for hours, didn't have a
doggy odour, intelligent, and good with children, but with no developed
hunting instincts.

Originally I started doing obedience with my first bitch, a keeshond. With
the arrival of my third keeshond, I was encouraged by my friends in the dog
fancy to show him. At our first show we had a wonderful day out, met lots
of people (who didn't think we were odd for loving our doggies so much),
and found ourselves a new sport - dogshowing!
After many successes with my
Keeshonds, including breeding a Grand
Champion, and winning numerous All
Breeds Championship Best In Shows,
and multi Royal Best of Breeds, we
have now found our new passion - the
German Spitz (Mittel).

Entranced by the similarities in the
breeds, the children and I began
showing Don and Av Callaghan's dogs,
till Ch Galvizach's Dubble Rubble
(IMP UK) and CH Komin Tickle Me
came to live with us.

Now we share our home with a
number of permanent and transient
spitz.
